Steps to use an AED

  • Immediately call 911!

  • Follow verbal and visual commands

  • Remove clothing

  • Apply pads

  • Allow DEFIB to analyze

  • Push button when prompted

  • Leave pads on and continue CPR compressions

  • DO NOT STOP until help arrives, or the DEFIB reanalyzes
